Traffic Case Records in Burke County
Burke County State Court hears countywide traffic offenses. The Burke County Clerk of Superior, State, and Juvenile Court keeps that State Court file. City police citations may remain with a municipal clerk in Waynesboro, Blythe, Sardis, or Midville. The issuing agency and court name matter more than where the driver lives.
A Burke County traffic docket can show the citation or case number, charge, filing date, settings, plea, payment events, court orders, and disposition. The county's citation page is a payment and access route, not the full docket. Use the clerk's case system or request the court file when the event history is needed.
Burke City Traffic Channels
Blythe Municipal Court usually meets on the last Wednesday monthly at 10:00 a.m. at City Hall. Its nCourt link handles eligible payments, but some citations require appearance. Waynesboro links GovernmentWindow, whose notification form uses the last six ticket digits or exact license number plus a contact field and verification code. Sardis and Midville require city-clerk contact because stable public search fields were not found.
Keysville presents a larger verification gap. No current municipal court code or online channel was located. Contact the city at 706-547-3007 or 706-547-3008 and ask which office holds the citation. A missing portal does not prove that no record exists.
Burke Citation Processing Window
The county says citations normally take 14 to 20 days to process. Georgia Courts gives a broader 7 to 21 business-day window and states that Georgia has no centralized citation database. A ticket that has not appeared during that period may still be active.
The official county instructions below show the online, phone, mail, and in-person routes.

Keep the paper citation and contact State Court before the printed date if the record remains unavailable.
Burke County Traffic Ticket Lookups
The county-linked PayYourTix route accepts a State and Jurisdiction choice, followed by case number, citation number, last name, and driver-license number fields. Instructions require the last name exactly as printed plus either the citation number or driver-license number. Use sensitive data only through the official secure channel.
- Read the citation and identify State Court or the issuing city.
- Use PayYourTix Burke for an eligible State Court citation.
- Enter the last name exactly and the citation number or required secure identifier.
- Call 866-339-0646, the clerk at 706-554-2279, or visit the Judicial Center counter if it has not posted.
- Mail a precise inquiry to PO Box 803, Waynesboro, GA 30830 when needed.
- Record the court date, status, response deadline, and court name, then confirm with the clerk.
Burke Citation Search Fields
The payment interface is not a statewide docket search. Its field order helps avoid a wrong-jurisdiction lookup.
| Field | Type | Use |
|---|---|---|
| State | Dropdown | Select Georgia |
| Jurisdiction | Dropdown | Select Burke |
| Case Number | Text | Court identifier when known |
| Citation Number | Text | Number printed on ticket |
| Last Name | Text | Enter exactly as printed |
| Driver-License Number | Secure text | Use only if officially required |
The Georgia ticket locator explains the lack of a central database.
The official image shows that limitation.

Traffic Court Dates in Burke County
Read the appearance date on the citation, then confirm it with the issuing court. A reset or continuance may make the paper date stale. Burke County State Court questions may go to 706-437-0464, while the clerk maintains the record at 706-554-2279.
| Citation Number | Retain the complete number, shown as citation number as printed. |
|---|---|
| Court | Burke State Court or the named municipal court. |
| Date & Time | The appearance or hearing setting. |
| Courtroom | The location supplied by the issuing court. |
| Status | Pending, paid, disposed, continued, or another entered status. |
Paying a Ticket vs Fighting It
Payment and contest are different court responses. Burke County accepts full online payment only for eligible citations. A citation that requires appearance cannot be paid online. County instructions allow phone payment up to three days before court and mail or counter payment by approved methods. Contact the court for the process to enter a not-guilty plea or seek a hearing.
| Paying the Ticket | Contesting the Ticket |
|---|---|
| Eligible citation is resolved through the payment path; confirm the entered disposition. | The court records the response and supplies the next hearing or trial step. |
| Follow the deadline and three-day cutoff stated by Burke County. | Contact the issuing court before the appearance or response deadline. |
| Online, phone, mail, or State Court counter when eligible. | Use the method authorized by the issuing court. |
Missed Court Date: Contact the issuing court immediately. Ask what the docket shows, whether further court action was entered, and how to obtain the next authorized instruction.
Burke Payment Is Not Disposition
A vendor confirmation shows that a transaction was submitted. It does not by itself prove how the Burke County traffic case was entered on the docket. Keep the receipt, then confirm the disposition with the court record. Mandatory-appearance citations must follow the court's instructions.
Payment continuation screens may ask what to pay, amount, change, and payment schedule details. Those transaction fields do not replace the citation, plea, court order, or certified disposition. Waynesboro's vendor states that payment is a guilty-plea route and may include a service fee, while Blythe warns that paying early can waive trial.
Two Records: Court File and Driver File
The Burke County court file and Georgia driver file have different custodians and purposes. The court record documents the citation case. Georgia Department of Driver Services receives reportable conviction information. DDS monthly conviction reports are aggregate tables, not a citation lookup and not a substitute for a certified court disposition.
| Court Traffic Record | Driver Record | |
|---|---|---|
| Kept By | Issuing court and its clerk | Georgia Department of Driver Services |
| Shows | Citation, settings, plea, orders, payment, disposition | State-maintained driver information |
| How to Get It | Court lookup, counter, mail, phone, or copy request | Official DDS record channel |
Burke Traffic Reporting Context
The DDS traffic-conviction report index publishes monthly statistical reports. Research found December 2025 rows for Burke State, Burke Superior, and Blythe Municipal Court. Those totals describe reporting activity and contain no party-level docket search.
The official index image shows the statistical source.

Use the issuing court for a specific citation, status, or certified disposition.
Burke Traffic Record Requests
A useful request tells the custodian exactly what to retrieve. Identify Burke State Court or the municipal court, then provide the citation number, any court case number, issuing city or agency, citation date, and known hearing date. Name the record sought, such as the citation, chronological docket, payment receipt, court order, or certified disposition. Also state the desired delivery method and whether an authenticated copy is required. Do not ask a city clerk to search the county State Court system, or ask the unified county clerk for a municipal file that remains with a city.
Telephone access is valuable for routing and date checks, but a written request creates a clear description of the desired record. State Court traffic questions can begin with the solicitor contact, while copies and docket records go to the clerk. Mail for the county State Court clerk can be directed to PO Box 803, Waynesboro, GA 30830. In-person service is at the Judicial Center. Municipal request channels vary, so call the city first and confirm the office, address, certification process, and accepted payment method.
Georgia open-records procedures may help obtain an existing non-exempt administrative record, but court rules and confidentiality limits still govern court files. The custodian does not have to create a custom report that does not exist. Ask for an existing docket, calendar, citation, or disposition. If a portion is restricted, ask whether a public redacted copy can be produced. Never place a full driver-license number or another sensitive identifier in ordinary email unless the official custodian expressly requires it through a secure process.
Note: A portal screenshot is useful for reference, but it is not automatically a certified court record.
Traffic Record Copy Fees
Ask the issuing court for the exact current fee before ordering. Research identified the county fee schedule but did not establish a traffic-specific plain-copy or certification amount safe to publish. A request should state court, citation and case numbers, issuing agency, citation date, hearing date, requested item, delivery method, and whether certification is needed.
| Item | Fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Plain court-file copy | Confirm with court | Request the exact citation or docket item |
| Certified disposition | Confirm with court | State that certification is required |
| Search or additional service | Confirm with custodian | Ask for an estimate before production |
Burke Uniform Citation Copies
The Georgia Uniform Traffic Citation has separate court and officer copies. The official DDS citation page helps identify the source form, but it does not show the Burke County docket outcome.
The official form image supplies record context without exposing a private citation.

Request the citation, docket, payment receipt, or certified disposition by name. Each is a different record. Do not send a license number by ordinary email or mail unless the custodian specifically directs that secure method.
Juvenile traffic also follows a separate path. Burke County says notice is generally sent in about three weeks and a parent must accompany the juvenile. Do not place a juvenile matter into an adult public payment portal without direction from Juvenile Court.
